Our worship services reflect the variety of our backgrounds, drawing upon the music and sacramental life of Christian traditions and our lived experiences as LGBT people in the 21st century. Hymns, prayers, a weekly message combined with the singing of the choir and congregation make this a time for centering around God’s presence, connection with one another and being inspired to move in the world as the embodiment of God’s all inclusive love.

Our hour-long worship service includes songs and hymns, Scripture lessons and a thoughtful and inspiring sermon (usually not more than 15 minutes in length) followed by Holy Communion, or Eucharist. We are sensitive to all faith traditions, blending as we do a range from Southern Baptists to Roman Catholics, evangelicals to social justice advocates. Our worship leaders wear plain vestments, and the congregation dresses informally. Children are welcome in worship.

COMMUNION

God’s gifts from God’s table are open to everyone. Communion is offered at all Sunday services and special services. This table that we as LGBT people have often been excluded from is a sign to us of God’s radical inclusion. Everyone is welcome to share the bread and cup of grape juice as a sign of God’s love for us and our love for each other.

Our clergy and lay ministers will dip a wafer into non-alcoholic juice and place it in your mouth. They will then offer you a short prayer of blessing. If you wish to serve yourself please hold out your hands and the wafer will be placed in your hand.

PRAYER

We are with you in Prayer. Our Prayer Altar is located just inside the Narthex entrance. You may write your prayers and praises there, and light a candle to illumine your prayers. We will lift up your prayers written in the prayer book during our time of community prayer in the worship service.

FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST

Join us on Sunday morning's at 10:15 a.m. for our Fellowship Breakfast. Come and enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by the hospitality team complete with hot coffee, hot tea, and cold juice. Remember, breakfast closes at 10:50 am, so come early. Breakfast is free and everyone is welcome!
